Hello, I’m Noah Murphy-Reinhertz, a designer and educator in San Francisco. It's been said that industrial design is practical idealism . . . I agree. My work is about the challenge to forge something beautiful and useful out of the tension between individuality and the mass market. This site is a small overview.

In designing for clients large and small, and working in teams from two to twenty, my goal is the same - respond to the opportunity at hand from my own point of view, saturated with culture, the techniques of industry and the unique abilities of my collaborators.

I am currently freelancing and teaching a range of classes at the California College of the Arts (and Crafts). My process touches on all aspects of industrial design, from concept to 3D CAD and product development.
